Firefighters from 8 units managed to control a major fire at Sattala slum in the capital’s Mohakhali after one and a half hours of efforts.
The fire erupted at 3:40 am on Wednesday and was tamed by 5:20 am, fire service Duty Officer Rakibul Hasan said.
He said the exact extent of the damages and casualties are yet to be reported.
