Former Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) officials who were sacked following the Pilkhana carnage have blocked the Shahbagh intersection in the capital, demanding reinstatement in the force.
Family members of those imprisoned following the carnage have also demanded their immediate release.
The intersection remains blocked till filing this report around 1:30 pm.
On December 23, the interim government formed a commission to uncover the true reasons behind the 2009 Pilkhana carnage.
