A fire that broke out in a law chamber of a multi-storied building in the capital’s Purana Paltan area this morning has been brought under control.
Six fire engines doused the flames after over one hour of frantic efforts, at 10:30 am, following the fire’s origin in the law chamber on the second floor of the four-storied Manikganj House at 9:17 am, fire service media cell officer Talha Bin Zasim told BSS.
Two platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel were deployed to help the fire service bring the inferno under control, according to a brief message from the BGB, reports BSS.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be determined immediately.
