The combination of exhibitions on construction, energy and real estate gained momentum on Friday as people thronged different halls of the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) to learn about equipment and services from a single arena.
The Build Bangladesh Expo highlights Real Estate Expo, Power Bangladesh, Solar Bangladesh, Lighting Expo and Water Bangladesh.
More than 195 companies from 20 countries participated in the fair with more than 500 booths.
The fair showcases a wide range of products, including construction cranes, household machines, and floor cleaners.
The first two halls of ICCB housed the power and energy sector and presented energy-efficient services in solar energy, lighting and other technologies.
The real estate fair attracted a large crowd seeking asset-based investments to secure the future.
In addition to local companies, foreign companies also presented their projects at the expo.
For the first time, Azad Properties from Turkey took part in the expo in Bangladesh. The company provided Bangladeshis with exclusive packages to invest in a range of projects in Istanbul and make secure real estate investments.
In a document, the company said, “The investors do not have to live in Turkey to buy properties. Team Azad will have the legal authority to represent and pursue applications across all government departments.”
Rabeya Begum visited the show from the capital's Khilkhet and examined the filtering device.
"During my visit to the fair, I saw a lot. For now, I'm going to purchase a water filter," she said.
Rashedul Karim, director of a garment factory in Gazipur, was looking for a compressor.
“The fair features products from more than one company. Comparative quality and price can be verified. Buyers are more interested in fairs like ICCB, which have a broad reach and are located 90 meters along the road,” he said.
A series of international exhibitions have been launched at the fair, showcasing the latest technologies and innovations in the fields of energy, energy, construction and real estate.
The CEMS Global organised the three-day event, which concludes today.
CEMS Global President Meherun N Islam highlighted Bangladesh's growing influence in the global real estate, renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
“Bangladesh's construction market is expected to grow from USD 30.38 billion in 2023 to USD 41.47 billion in 2028, indicating the sector's role in driving economic progress,” she said.
