Police arrested five individuals for their alleged involvement in the attack on police officers and students during the anti-discrimination movement, reports BSS.
The arrests were made from various locations, including Manikganj Sadar, Singair, Harirampur, and Ghior upazilas of the district, according to Additional SP (Admin and Finance) in a press briefing.
The arrested individuals were identified as Moazzem Hossain Lavlu(42), son of late Nur Hossain of Farirchar village under Manikganj Sadar Upazila; Dewan Quamrul(47), son of late Dalil Uddin Dewan of Sanail village under Singair Upazila; Ananda Sarkar(55), son of Modon Sarkar of Uvajani village under Ghior Upazila; Sanwar Hossain Sanu(45), son of Sukuluddin of Basudebpur village, Ghior Upazila; and Md. Rakib Khan(25), son of Md. Arshed Ali of Ghior Upazila.
All five individuals were produced before the Judicial Magistrate, police confirmed.
