A woman has died and 25 people have been diagnosed with dengue in Chattogram city and district over the past 24 hours, reports BSS.
Nasima Akter(35), passed away from dengue while receiving treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
Of the 25 new dengue cases, 22 individuals have been admitted to government hospitals in the city, while three others are receiving treatment at various private hospitals.
According to the Chattogram Civil Surgeon’s office, a total of 3,562 people have been hospitalized in the city this year due to dengue.
District Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam confirmed that at least 140 patients are currently undergoing treatment in different hospitals across the city. The death toll from dengue in the district has reached 35 this year.
