65 arrested with drugs in city

Police arrested 65 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Saturday (October 1).                 

Police arrested them from 6:00 am Friday to Saturday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.   

A total of 6,571 pieces of Yaba, 350 grams of heroin, 12 bottles of foreign liquor, 20 injections and 52 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Forty-one cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
