Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Bangladesh's Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus over the phone.
Shehbaz Sharif shared this information on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, where he wrote, the two had a great conversation during the phone call.
Shehbaz Sharif mentioned that during the phone call, he reiterated the joint commitment to further strengthen the relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
He said, “We exchanged Eid-ul-Fitr greetings and pledged to work together to further strengthen our relations in the future.”
In addition, Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan's deputy prime minister and foreign minister will visit Dhaka on April 22 with a trade delegation. Through this visit, discussions will be held on economic cooperation and enhancing relations between the two countries.
Furthermore, the Pakistani Prime Minister reiterated the invitation to Dr. Muhammad Yunus to visit Pakistan at a convenient time. He has invited Bangladesh's legendary artiste Runa Laila and a cultural troupe to visit Pakistan.
In his message, Shehbaz Sharif mentioned that the future of Pakistan-Bangladesh relations looks bright, InshaAllah. Meanwhile, the improvement of cultural and commercial relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh is expected to play a more important role in the future.
