Two people were killed in two separate road crashes in the capital on Wednesday night and Thurday, police said.
The deceased are Sharif Khan, 38, son of Yunus Khan, hailed from Munshiganj and Suny Mridha, 20, son of late Abdus Salam of Dakshinkhan in Dhaka.
According to police, Sharif was injured as a pick-up van ran over his motorcycle from behind under Saddam market foot over a bridge in Jatrabari on Thursday morning.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead.
Sharif used to live at Saruliya in the South Tengra area of Demra with his son and wife.
In another accident, Suny Mridha was killed as a train crushed him under its wheels while he was crossing the Jamtala Kitchen Market rail gate in Dakshinkhan in the capital on Wednesday night.
Jatrabari Police Station Sub-Inspector Ashraful Alam and DMCH police outpost in-charge Bacchu Mia confirmed the accidents.
