The toss for the second match of the three-match T20 International series between Bangladesh and New Zealand was delayed due to rain at the venue on Wednesday.
Showers set in around morning and intensified, forcing ground staff to keep the pitch under covers with little movement on the field. Although the rain later eased to a light drizzle, conditions remained unfit for the scheduled start.
Officials said the ground could be made ready within 30 minutes once the rain stops, but a delayed start now looks certain.
