Bangladesh secured their spot in the Super 6 stage of the ICC Women's U-19 World Cup with an 18-run win over Scotland in their final Group D match in Selangor on Wednesday.
Captain Sumaiya Akter led the way with an unbeaten 29 off 36 balls, helping Bangladesh post 121 for nine in 20 overs. Leg-spinner Anisa Akter Shova then shone with the ball, claiming four wickets for 25 runs to restrict Scotland to 103 for eight.
This victory marked Bangladesh's second win in three games. They began their campaign with a five-wicket victory over Nepal but suffered a narrow two-wicket loss to Australia in the second match.
In the Super 6 stage, two groups of six teams each will compete, with the top four teams advancing to the semifinals.
