Chittagong Kings thrashed Durbar Rajshahi thanks to Usman Khan's century, the first of the ongoing BPL, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Friday (Jan 3).
Usman Khan bagged his second and this season’s first hundred racking up 123 from just 63 balls hitting 13 boundaries and six towering maximums against a weak Rajshahi bowling attack.
He survived twice thanks to Rajshahi fielders butterfingers on 81 and 95 respectively.
Usman was accompanied well by Graham Clark who scored 40 off 25 balls and Mohammad Mithun 28 off 15 balls.
Chittagong eventually reached 219/5 in their 20 overs setting a mammoth 220-run target for Rajshahi.
Chasing 220, Durbar Rajshahi never looked to be in the game and were eventually bundled out for 114 keeping 2.5 overs in hand, losing the match by 105 runs.
Mohammad Haris bagged 32 with the bat but no one else rose to the occasion, rather crumbled under the scoreboard pressure.
For Chittagong, Aliss Al Islam and Arafat Sunny picked up three wickets each.
