The BPL returned to Mirpur on Thursday following a one-day break. Prior to the match, incidents of vandalism and arson took place at the ticket counter.
It was reported that spectators had been waiting for tickets at the Mirpur Swimming Complex since morning. The BCB had arranged ticket sales both at the booths and online.
However, by 11:30 am, tensions escalated as the crowd began pushing against the bamboo fence.
Eventually, they broke the gate, entered the booth, and vandalized the premises. The protesters then set the booth on fire.
It was later brought under control by the fire service, following which law enforcement took charge of the area.
