New Zealand have set India a target of 359 runs for victory and a chance to salvage the three-match series on day three of the second Test at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune on Saturday.
Allrounder Glenn Phillips ran out of batting partners, as the Black Caps were dismissed for 255 in the morning session, adding 57 runs to their overnight lead.
