Bashundhara Shuvosangho organised an essay writing contest on the Liberation War on the occasion of the Victory Day at Mamun Khalifa (R) Institute, Haildhar Union, Anwara Upazila, Chattogram.
Afterwards, awards were distributed among the best writers.
Shuvosangho’s Anwara upazila President Safayet Raihan Shihab, Joint Secretary Masud Khan Jewel, and Adviser Imran Emi were present at the event, among others. Mamun Khalifa (R) Institute Head Master Masud Alam was present as the chief guest.
Imran Emi said the young general will lead today’s Bangladesh and thus they must be educated about the history of the Liberation War. The spirit of the war must be spread among them, and they can become patriotic only after harnessing this spirit and history, he added.
Safayet Raihan Shihab said the chief responsibility of the present young generation is to learn the true history of the Liberation War, and hold the war’s teachings in their hearts. He pledged to continue holding awareness programmes for the children and the youth.
