One of the main purposes of literary practice is to foster creativity and provide opportunities for self-expression.
Through literature, writers express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences, thereby revealing their identity and essence.
With this goal in mind, the Sreemangal branch of Bashundhara Shuvosangho organised a thought-provoking literary gathering.
The lively event was held on Thursday at Uttaran Library on College Road in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar.
Literature enthusiasts engaged in vibrant discussions on the social impact of literature, its role in the contemporary context, and the importance of nurturing literary awareness among the youth.
Speaking at the event, Bashundhara Shuvosangho Adviser and Associate Professor of Sreemangal Government College Md Saiful Islam said, “Literary practice enhances mental development and stimulates creativity. We are committed to organising regular literary gatherings under the initiative of Bashundhara Shuvosangho to promote intellectual and cultural growth.”
He also urged people from all walks of life to engage in literary pursuits.
Participants at the gathering noted that literature raises awareness, inspires resistance against injustice, and empowers individuals to bring about social change.
At the end of the programme, Saiful, on behalf of Uttaran Library, handed over books to readers to encourage regular reading habits.
The event was presided over by Saiful Islam, district correspondent of Daily Kaler Kantho and adviser to the Sreemangal Thana branch of Shuvosangho.
