Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s Nazirpur upazila branch in Pirojpur carried out a cleanliness campaign on Sunday at Sriramkathi Bandar Bazar under the slogans “Let us all pledge to build a clean nation” and “Our commitment is to keep the city clean.”
Shuvosangho members cleaned the market area and spread messages of hygiene and cleanliness among traders and pedestrians.
The program was organised under the guidance of Nazirpur upazila Shuvosangho advisor and Bandar Bazar Welfare Committee general secretary Mazedul Kabir Russell, and led by upazila branch president Uthan Mondal. Participants included Kaler Kantho correspondent Ohiduzzaman, vice-president Mostafizur Rahman Khokon, joint general secretary H M Sohel Rana, Bandar Committee organising secretary Md Shahidul Islam Khan, Ward-8 BNP president Hemayet Khan, and Shuvosangho members Md Milton Molla, Mirajul Khan Maruf, Jitu, Badal, Abdullah, Liton Bonik, and Robiul Islam.
Speaking at the event, Mazedul Kabir Russell said the initiative was not only about cleanliness but also about awakening social responsibility.
“Every citizen must come forward to build a clean country,” he added.
Shuvosangho members in Nazirpur pledged to continue such social and humanitarian activities in the future.
