Madaripur District BNP Joint Convener Sajjad Hossain Siddiqui Lavlu, along with Bashundhara Shuvosangho Shibchar Unit members has presented cash and a wheelchair to a physically ill and challenged child in Shibchar Upazila of Madaripur.
On Saturday morning, the Shibchar branch of Bashundhara Shuvosangho handed over the wheelchair to 10-year-old Kawsar, son of Md Enayet Mollah of Hajipur area in Panchchar union.
Relatives said Kawsar lost a leg after surgery in Dhaka when he fell sick at three months old. Since then, he has suffered from kidney, liver, and other complex diseases.

After hearing about Kawsar, Lavlu sent his younger brother, Sadat Hossain Siddiqui Nasru Mia, to deliver the cash and wheelchair on his behalf.
Kawsar and his family expressed joy after receiving the wheelchair. They said they felt grateful to Lablu and Bashundhara Shuvosangho.
Kawsar’s father Enayet Mollah said the wheelchair was essential for his son and he felt very happy after receiving it. He supports his three children by pulling a rickshaw van and struggles to survive.
He stated his son can now move with the wheelchair and he prayed for everyone, asking Allah to shower his mercy on them.
Lavlu said service to people drives his politics and he has worked selflessly for the underprivileged for many years and vowed to continue. He promised to always support the welfare activities of Shuvosangho.
