Bashundhara Shuvosangho has formed a new convening committee at its Global International School and College branch with the motto “Beside everyone in good deeds.”
In an official notice signed by Jakaria Zaman, director of Bashundhara Shuvosangho and senior assistant editor of Kaler Kantho, the new committee received approval.
The newly announced committee named Al Mumin Hossain Sojib and Khairul Hasan Murad as advisers. Atiqul Islam has been appointed convenor, Kamruzzaman joint convenor, and Shakil Mahmud Pavel member secretary. Executive members include Rashedul Islam, Shaheen Mahmud, Md Ismail, and Mohammad Sobuj Khan.
Speaking on behalf of the new committee, convenor Atiqul Islam said, “We will move forward with a commitment to stand beside people in good deeds. Our activities will encourage others to join positive initiatives so that we can contribute collectively to social development.”
Bashundhara Shuvosangho, a voluntary social organisation under the country’s leading industrial group Bashundhara Group, runs a wide range of humanitarian and awareness programmes across Bangladesh.
Its activities include cleanliness drives, education scholarships for underprivileged but talented students, schools for disadvantaged children, free training and sewing machines to empower women, poverty alleviation projects, relief during natural disasters and pandemics, free winter clothing and food distribution, medical camps, agricultural development support, and nationwide tree plantation and distribution programmes.
