Swapno Pathshala, a mobile school operating at Suhrawardy Udyan, provides lessons to street children every Friday.
To make this initiative more meaningful and lively, Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s Eden Mohila College unit distributed educational materials among the children on Friday.
The distributed items included notebooks, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners, aimed at encouraging the children to focus more on their studies.
Sanjida, a flower seller living in Suhrawardy Udyan, said, “These supplies were very necessary for me. Due to financial hardship, I couldn’t afford to buy notebooks and pencils. This support will inspire me and my child to continue studying.”
Faria Hoque Tajim, president of the Eden Mohila College unit of Bashundhara Shuvosangho, said, “Such unique initiatives teach us to think deeply about our society and our country. We will continue to organize more programmes like this in the future to contribute positively to our people and nation.”
Among those present at the event were Shuvosangho members Faria Hoque Tajim, Shahida Khatun, Jannatul Ferdous, Taslima, Sumaiya Akter, Alpana Akter, Saima Jannat, Jannatul Ferdous Meghla, Chumki Khatun, Ritu Yasmin Borni, Nafiya Tasnim Mishu, Poli Akter, Sanjida Akter, Nurun Nahar Khatun, Rukaiya Akter, Tahmina Akter, Sadia Islam, Mini, and Sumaiya Sumu.
This humanitarian initiative brought smiles to the faces of street children and gave them renewed inspiration for education.
