Bashundhara Shuvosangho organised a special event for underprivileged children, hawkers, and beggars at the Joydevpur Railway Station in Gazipur on Friday.
The initiative included a food distribution program and an interactive storytelling session aimed at mental and emotional development.
The event was organised by the Shuvosangho Gazipur district branch and drew enthusiastic participation from children and local community members. The storytelling session focused on life lessons and positive values, offering both nourishment and inspiration.
Shuvosangho district unit president Musafir Imran presided over the event. Members Shyamal, Jerin, Pratyay Bhattacharya, Anar Hossain, Joy, Anika Tabachchum, Bithi, Rima, and others were present and actively participated in the distribution and storytelling activities.
“I collect paper at the station every day. Today, the brothers and sisters from Bashundhara Shuvosangho came, gave us food, and told us stories. This is the first time I’ve heard such a beautiful story,” said 10-year-old Yasin, one of the young participants.
Musafir Imran emphasised the purpose of the initiative, stating, “We didn’t come here just to give food—we came to plant dreams. These children are not a burden to society. With our support, they can build a bright future.”
