Bashundhara Group once again extended its cooperation in fulfilling the dreams of a meritorious girl, Litun Jira of Sheikhpara Khanpur village of Monirampur upazila in Jashore, who obtained GPA-5 in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination by writing with her mouth.
Under the philanthropic move of Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, Bashundhara Shuvosangho officials on Wednesday handed over a bank cheque to Habibur Rahman, father of the differently abled girl who excelled in education since primary level.
Bashundhara Foundation advisor Maynal Hossain Chowdhury, Shuvosangho founder and noted litterateur Imdadul Haq Milan, Bashundhara Group Chairman’s Media Adviser Abdul Bari, Secretary Masudur Rahman Manna, and Shuvosangho Director Zakaria Zaman were also present at the programme held at ABG Tower in Bashundhara Residential Area in Dhaka.

Litun lives in Sheikhpara Khanpur village of Monirampur upazila in Jashore. She appeared for the SSC exam from Gopalpur School and College in the same upazila.
Earlier in 2020, Bashundhara Group vice-chairman Shafiat Sobhan Sanvir provided assistance to Litun Jira, who is not blessed with hands and legs, after coming to know of her extraordinary efforts through the media.
Addressing the media, Habibur Rahman has extended gratitude to Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan and Vice-chairman Shafiat Sobhan Sanvir for providing support to her indomitable daughter.
Bashundhara Foundation advisor Maynal Hossain Chowdhury said Bashundhara Group chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan has been continuing philanthropic activities through supporting the education of underprivileged communities, along with providing treatment for the rare heart disease of children.
Shuvosangho Founder and noted litterateur Imdadul Haq Milan said Bashundhara Group has been supporting the study of meritorious students from poor families, apart from running 21 community schools in hard-to-reach areas.
