Bashundhara Shuvosangho has released fish fry at a lake of Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) to protect the environment and conserve biodiversity.
Shuvosangho members took part in the campaign to release 300 tilapia fish fry in the lake on the campus on Tuesday.
PUST unit President Abdullah Al Mamun presided over the programme while Proctor Prof Kamruzzaman Khan and Assistant Director Ashraful Islam were present as guests.
Dr Kamruzzaman Khan said that the PUST lake is one of the most beautiful and attractive places in the university, as many locals come to visit this lake.
"Again, many birds flock to its banks. Fish is one of our main foods. Today, fish fry have been released in our lake by Shuvosangho members," he said.
Shuvosangho unit Office Secretary Ahsan Ullah Alif, Education Affairs Secretary Shovon Raihan, Cultural Affairs Secretary BM Bikail Hossain, and Executive Member Ahsan Habib Atiq attended the programme.
