Bashundhara Shuvosangho has organised a discussion meeting against food adulteration in Bauphal upazila of Patuakhali, with the participation of businessmen, teachers, imams and farmers.
Acting Principal Md Ahiduzzaman Supon was the chief guest, while Shuvosangho upazila unit President Marnuch Talukder presided over the event held at Faruk Talukder Women’s College on Tuesday.
Md Ahiduzzaman Supon said that alcoholic food products have spread to all levels of society. “Adulterated food products basically weaken various organs of the human body very easily. They reduce the immunity of the human body and make it susceptible to diseases quickly,” he said.
Primary Teachers’ Association President Kamruzzaman Firoz, businessmen Maulana Rahmat Ullah and Shuvosangho upazila unit vice presidents Tanbir Bappi, Arifur Rahman Julhas, General Secretary Golam Morshed Arif, Joint General Secretary Irfat Hossain Jisan, Sports Secretary Kaiyumur Rahman Sabuj and member Md Zakir Hossain were present on the occasion.
