A third-year student of Naogaon Government Degree College has received books from Bashundhara Shuvosangho.
Local members of the platform took the initiative to purchase books for Israt Jahan, a management student, after being contacted by Badalgachi Upazila Nirbahi Officer Israt Jahan Sony, with whom the student had shared her financial difficulties.
To mark the occasion, a book handover programme was held at Badalgachi Technical College. Badalgachi Thana Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Saiful Islam attended the event as the chief guest, with Shuvosangho unit president Golam Kibria presiding.
Saiful Islam praised the efforts of Bashundhara Shuvosangho for supporting the education of students facing financial hardship.
Shuvosangho members Saiful Islam, Grameen Bank manager Abdul Momin, local businessmen Masum Hossain and Molin Kumar, assistant teacher Abdul Awal, Shuvosangho general secretary Mosaddek Hossain Musa, and Kaler Kantho correspondent Emdadul Haque were also present on the occasion.
