Bashundhara Shuvosangho has distributed leaflets among commoners in Barguna to raise social awareness for preventing dengue.
Shuvosangho district unit President Abul Hasan began the campaign from the fish market area of the town on Sunday.
Shuvosangho General Secretary Shakib Mahmud, vice presidents Shamsur Rahman, Saidur Rahman, advisers Nazmul Haque and Ziaur Rahman, Rahim Electronics owner Abdur Rahim, Kaler Kantho district correspondent Mizanur Rahman, Bangladesh Pratidin correspondent Hasanur Rahman Jhantu, NEWS24 correspondent Sumon Sikder and Banglanews24 correspondent Zahidul Islam Mehedi, Finance Secretary Ziaur Rahman and Tech Affairs Secretary Sifat, were present on the occasion.
Abul Hasan said that every citizen should be conscious of cleanliness and maintain the surroundings of their homes clean. "This awareness-raising initiative has been praised by the local residents," he said.
According to the organisers, such activities will continue in the future. Those involved expressed hope that such initiatives will not only create awareness about dengue prevention but also instill a sense of civic responsibility among the people.
