Bashundhara Shuvosangho organised a tree plantation campaign in Fulbari upazila of Dinajpur to celebrate the Eid reunion.
Members of the social volunteer platform planted saplings of Krishnachura, Neem, Kathal, and Mahogany at the Moktarpur Primary School and Al Falah Jame Mosque premises on Tuesday.
Social worker Ahad Ali attended the event as the chief guest, while Headmaster Ibrahim Ali Sarkar presided over the programme.
Addressing the event, Ahad Ali praised Bashundhara Shuvosangho for its environmental initiatives, particularly its efforts to plant trees.
Headmaster Ibrahim Ali emphasised that tree plantation programmes are crucial for environmental protection and mitigating the impacts of climate change.
The event was attended by Shuvosangho upazila unit general secretary Ariful Islam, assistant teacher Md Rajib Hossain, kidney technologist Mamunur Rashid, and social workers Md Mumin Mandal, Md Selim Sarkar, Md Mozahar Mandal, Md Manik Sarkar, and Md Masud Rana.
Also present were Shuvosangho upazila unit president Md Sohel Rana, vice-president Apu Ahmed Sony, joint general secretaries Al-Amin, Omar Faruk, Md Sadiqul Islam (Sadiq), and publicity secretary Sajjad Hossain.
