Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU) unit of Bashundhara Shuvosangho has distributed Eid gifts among underprivileged children, marking the fresher reception of the organisation.
GAU Vice Chancellor Prof Mustafizur Rahman was chief guest, while Director of the Student Welfare Department Prof Mohammad Saiful Alam was special guest at the programme held on Tuesday.
"The way you are putting a smile on the faces of others with your time and effort is truly commendable. Humanity is real. It is not enough to have money alone, but rather a sense of responsibility towards people and a mindset of doing good deeds make a real person known," said Prof Mustafizur Rahman.
GAU Registrar Md Abdullah Mridha, Shuvosangho Central Vice President Shamim Al Mamun and Joint General Secretary Md Imran Hossain delivered speeches as guests at the event.
GAU unit Vice President Prasenjit Roy, General Secretary Fahidul Hasan Himel and Office Secretary Suparna Chattaji were also present on the occasion.
This segment spread a message of inspiration among all the new and old members. Then, the old members held hands and welcomed the new members, which further strengthened the traditional bond of Shuvosangho.
Shuvosangho unit outgoing President Mahbub Hasan and General Secretary Mehnaz Akhter Meem were presented with farewell crests for their dedication and hard work. Prof Dr Mohammad Saiful Alam gave a vote of thanks to the audience.
