Eminent Rabindra Sangeet singer Sadi Mohammad was laid to eternal rest at Tajmahal Road graveyard in the capital's Mohammad area following a namaz-e-janaza at the graveyard mosque after Zohr prayers on Thursday.
He was buried at the grave of his parent there.
A good number of people of cultural arena, well-wishers, admirers and local people joined the namaz-e-janaza.
Said Mohammad passed away on Wednesday evening.
Family sources said Sadi was practicing music with his Tanpura in a room of his residence. Suddenly, Sadi's younger brother classical dancer Shibli Mohammad noticed that the door had been locked. After breaking the door, he found the singer's lifeless body hanging from ceiling fan.
Sadi Mohammad served as the director of the cultural organisation Rabi Raag.
Sadi Mohammad, who pursued his studies in Rabindra Sangeet at Visva-Bharati University in India, was the son of Liberation War martyr Salimullah and Jebunnesa Salimullah.
