Popular TV actress Sabila Nur has bought a burnt shari at Tk 1 lakh, a price much higher than actual to stand beside Bangabazar fire victims.
She bought the shari which was burnt during fire in Bangabazar Market on April 4.
Many showbiz personalities have also come forward to assist the fire affected people.
Bidyanando Foundation, a charity organisation, engaged in selling the Bangabazar fire burnt clothes in aid of affected businessmen. The organisation confirmed the buying on its Facebook page. The title of the post was ‘Price of burnt shari is expensive’. In addition, it was also written in the post that Sabila Nur wants to stand beside fire affected people.
Sabila said, “The businessmen who were affected during fire, probably have daughters like me. They have also dream to pursue university degrees. To prioritize their dream and remove their sadness ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, I bought the shari.”
