Criticizing the Awami League (AL), BNP joint secretary general Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee said, "Have they run out of money, have they all left the country, have they left their homes and land behind? Everyone saw the picture yesterday (Wednesday) live. What happed was the expression of this sentiment."
He said, "The student movement in this country is against fascism and the misrule of the Awami League, against Hasina, against the conspiracy. And that sentiment was awakened. Hasina has been banned for the atrocities they have committed, and the Awami League will also be banned."
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of the annual sports competition of the Lakshmipur Municipal Shaheed Smriti Academy on Thursday afternoon.
Anee further said, "This Hasina has murdered, ordered murder, tortured, and looted. Will Hasina not be tried then? No, BNP will not give this opportunity on Bangladeshi soil. If there is an election, if there is a trial, automatically our sentiment, sitting in parliament and discussing with the people's support, should be officially banned. This is our demand too. We want this. We were in the student movement. We have served time in jail. So, our next target together is to build a beautiful Bangladesh for this generation and students. We have entered the field with this promise and target."
