Journalist and media personality Monir Haider has been appointed as the special assistant to the chief adviser of the interim government.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Wednesday, appointing him to this position with the rank of senior secretary.
According to the notification, Monir Haider has been appointed on a contractual basis as the special assistant (Consensus Building) to the chief adviser, on the condition that he relinquishes any existing professional ties with other occupations, businesses, or public, semi-public, and private institutions/organisations.
As a special assistant, he will play a key role in liaising and maintaining communication with various political parties and forces on behalf of the chief adviser to facilitate national consensus.
