Government would finalise the July Proclamation draft after discussing with the political parties, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said on Sunday (Jan 5).
“Talks will be held with the political parties regarding the July Proclamation. We will finalise the draft after discussing with them,” he said at a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka.
However, Shafiqul said, the schedule of declaration or the discussion with political parties has yet to be fixed.
In another context, the press secretary said the media would be allowed to visit “Aynaghar”, built as the secret detention centre during the Awami League regime.
“When you (media personnel) visit there, you will find how the previous government tortured innocent people day after day.”
