Nahid Islam, Advisor for Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, said, “Communal terrorists who killed lawyer Saiful Islam Alif will definitely face severe punishment.”
The adviser made this statement on Tuesday(November 26) through a Facebook Post
In the post, Nahid said, “From the very beginning, the interim government has sincerely considered the demands of the minority communities. However, Chinmoy Krishna Das was spreading false and provocative statements in various meetings, trying to create communal disunity. Despite facing a sedition case, Chinmoy Krishna continued holding meetings without any legal action taken against him. The main objective of these activities was to attract the attention of the global media and present Bangladesh and the July uprising in a negative light.”
The ICT Adviser further added, “The way a lawyer was hacked to death by Chinmoy Krishna's supporters in the Chattogram court is unprecedented”
According to Nahid, Chinmoy Krishna's actions were aimed at undermining national unity, as he was actively involved in creating terrorist supporters for communal agendas.
Nahid also stated, “Awami League, the fascist regime, has always attempted to use the minority community to engage in communal politics.”
Referring to the Hindu minority community as Bangladeshi citizens, Nahid stated, 'We will ensure their safety. However, the Bangladesh government will ensure the highest level of justice through legal processes against the Hindu extremist terrorists involved in sabotage.'
The information adviser urged everyone to remain calm and assured that the terrorists would soon be arrested.
