All government employees are now required to submit their annual wealth statements to the government by December 31 each year.
This year, however, all public servants must submit their asset declarations by November 30.
The announcement was made by Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Mokhlesur Rahman, during a press conference on Sunday.
Previously, public servants were required to declare their assets every five years. However, with the new regulation, asset declarations must now be submitted annually.
He emphasized that failure to submit asset declarations within the stipulated time could result in severe penalties, including forced retirement, removal from office, or dismissal from service.
