Gonoshayastha Kendra Founder and Valiant Freedom Fighter Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury has been laid to rest at Savar, on the outskirts of the capital, after fourth and final namaj-e-janaza, reports Daily Sun.
He was buried on the left side of the main gate of the Gonoshayastha Kendra after Juma prayers on Friday.
Earlier in the morning, people of all walks of life paid tribute to Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury from 10:00am to 12:30pm at PHA ground at Gonoshayastha Kendra.
About 10,000 people, including family members of Dr Zafrullah, political personalities, officials-employees, local residents, attended the janaza. After the janaza, he was laid to eternal rest at 2:55pm beside the Suchana Bhaban of the Gonoshasthaya Kendra.
Dr Zafrulla has long been under treatment for his kidney related complications. At the age of 81, he died Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital at Dhanmondi in the capital. His body was brought to Gonoshasthaya Kendra on Thursday night for burial.
