Eight people were killed in a gunfight between two groups in Rowangchhari upazila of Bandarban district on Friday, reports Daily Sun.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.

Abdul Mannan, officer-in-charge of Rowangchhari Police Station, confirmed the news.

Being informed, police recovered the bodies from Khamthampara area around 12:30pm today, he said.

The bodies were sent to Bandarban Sadar Hospital, he added.
