Bangabazar Fire: 3 remanded in case over assault on police

A Dhaka court on Thursday placed three men on one-day remand in a case filed over assault on police as the police tried to protect the firemen dousing devastating fire in Bangabazar on April 4, reports BSS. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ataullah passed the order, placing Md Raju, Shaon and Shahadat Hossain on one-day remand each in the case filed with Bangshal Police Station in the capital.

The court also set May 16 to submit probe report in the case.

Sub-inspector Israfil of Bangshal Police Station filed the case on Thursday against 250-300 unnamed persons.
