Rokeya Afzal Rahman, a prominent businesswoman and also former adviser to Caretaker Government, passed away.
She was 82.
Rokeya Afzal breathed her last at Singapore Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital Wednesday morning.
She was receiving treatment due to post-Covid and other complications.
Her body will be brought back home on Thursday.
Rokeya Afzal left two daughters, a son, a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn death.
She was chairman of Board of Directors of the Asian University for Women Support Foundation, president of the Women Entrepreneurs Association.
She was associated with several other organisations and shareholder of ABC Radio and Star Media.
