Twenty six persons have returned home after performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia with financial support of Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir.
Umrah returnees have expressed deep gratitude to Sayem Sobhan Anvir, also Chief Adviser to the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Musalli Committee, for extending financial supports and materialising their longstanding dreams, reports The Daily Sun.
Staying at Mecca and Medina for 14 days, they reached Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka by G-9510 flight of Air Arabia at 10:40pm on Sunday.
Talking to press, Khandakar Abdul Gaffar, a Umrah performer, said “I sell tupi and atar at Baitul Mukarram market and earn a little. I could not afford Umrah for insolvency. Finally, my dream has come true due to Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir. My gratitude to him knows no bounds.”
Echoing view of his predecessor, Shafikul Hasan, a resident of Chawkbazar and Umrah performer, said he works at a showroom and could not go to Saudi Arabia for the purpose in the past.
“Allah has materialised my dream with the financial assistance of Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir. I prayed for him offering prayers at Kaba Sharif.”
Similar view was expressed by Zainal Abedin from Bakerganj of Barishal and other Umrah performers who have just returned home.
