Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on Friday greeted Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on the occasion of Bangladesh's 52nd Victory Day.

He also wrote, "Warm greetings to FM Dr AK Abdul Momen, the Government and the people of Bangladesh on Bijoy Dibosh (Victory Day)."
Bangladesh is celebrating the 52nd Victory Day, the most precious day for the Bangalee people, Friday as the country was liberated from the Pakistani occupation forces on the day 51 years back after a nine-month-long bloodstained war.
On this day in 1971, Bangladesh was born as an independent country under the leadership of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the cost of the supreme sacrifice of three million martyrs and the honour of two lakh mothers and sisters.
