The nation is going to celebrate Victory Day on Friday, the most important day in the history of Bangladesh.
People from all walks of life will remember the martyrs with honour and love who gave us victory and the event of celebration. So as the tradition, the National Memorial Mausoleum in Savar is ready to be engulfed with affection and honour for celebrating Victory Day.
Marking Victory Day, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will pay rich tributes to the heroic sons of the soil who had laid down their lives to liberate their beloved motherland through a nine-month bloody war by placing wreaths at the altar of the National Mausoleum early Friday.
The President and the Prime Minister will be given a guard of honour from the three services at that time.
A smartly turned-out contingent of an army drawn from the three services will also present a state salute on the occasion while the bugle will play till the last post.
Later, people from all walks of life including various political and social organisations will pay their homage to the martyrs.
All preparations have already been completed for the victory day celebration. The practice of guard of honour by the three services is going on. In a ward, the National Mausoleum is ready for the Victory Day celebration.
State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr Enamur Rahman said the local Awami league has taken massive preparation on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s arrival in Savar.
Tight security measure has been taken on the National Mausoleum ground including setting up a watch tower for the police.
