BNP has called countrywide protest programmes on Sunday protesting attacks on their partymen in their “peaceful” rallies across the country including the capital’s Mirpur.
Party’s secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the programmes at a press conference at BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s political office in Gulshan on Friday.
Dhaka city North BNP convener Aman Ullah Aman, Dhaka city South BNP convener Abdus Salam, Dhaka city North BNP member secretary Aminul Haque and Dhaka city South BNP member secretary Rafiqul Alam Majnu were present at the press conference.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam said the protest programmes will be held at every district and upazila including the party’s Nayapaltan central office.
