The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has introduced a 25% regulatory duty on the export of both crude and refined rice bran oil to boost domestic supply and stabilize prices. The new tax measure, announced in a notification on Sunday, aims to discourage exports of rice bran oil, reports BSS.
This move follows a request from the Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission (BTTC) in December, urging the NBR to impose an export duty on the cooking oil.
