Shakib fined Tk 50 lakh on charge of share market manipulation

Bangladesh Security and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has fined former Member of Parliament (MP) and national cricket team player Shakib Al Hasan Tk 50 lakh on charge of doing manipulation in Share market.  

This information is revealed in a circular signed by BSEC director and spokesperson Farhana Faruqui on Tuesday.

According to it, Shakib Al Hasan has been fined Tk 50 lakh on charges of manipulation in the share transaction of Paramount Insurance Company Limited listed in the capital market in the 923rd commission meeting chaired by BSEC Chairman Khandkar Rashed Maqsud.
