The July Mass Uprising Special Cell has revealed that six additional bodies of martyrs from the July Uprising were discovered at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue. This information was shared during a press conference held outside the hospital on Friday.
According to the briefing, the special cell confirmed the discovery of six unidentified bodies believed to be victims of the July Uprising. A team from the cell visited Shahbagh Police Station to gather further details. Officer-in-Charge (OF) Khalid Mansoor confirmed that the bodies are currently stored in the cold storage of the Dhaka Medical College Forensic Morgue.
The bodies include a 20-year-old male, a 25-year-old male, a 22-year-old male, a 32-year-old female, a 30-year-old male, and a 25-year-old male named Enamul.
Autopsy results indicate that five of the deceased died from trauma or physical injuries, while Enamul’s cause of death was listed as falling from a height.
The special cell leaders announced that DNA samples and clothing marks have been collected for identification. They urged the families of missing individuals to contact the special cell at 01621324187 if they believe their loved one may be among the deceased. The bodies are currently held in cold storage at the Dhaka Medical College Forensic Morgue.
