The body of Al-Amin, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Shariatpur's Jajira police station Al-Amin has been recovered.
The body was recovered from a room inside the police station building on Thursday afternoon.
District Superintendent of Police Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter to the media.
He said, "We recovered the body from a room in the police station building after receiving the information. Initially, it is believed that he committed suicide. However, the real reason for the incident is not known. The rest can be confirmed after the autopsy."
