Metrorail, city’s fastest public transport, service was closed for 26 minutes on Sunday morning, resulting in sufferings for office-goers and other passengers.
Metrorail services were stopped around 9:45 am on Sunday. Several officials in charge of MRT Line-6 told the media that train number 9 was stuck at Shewrapara station as the doors did not close properly.
Due to the problem, all other rail trips were stuck and delayed. Rail services were closed for a total of 26 minutes. Train services resumed at 10:13 am. Now the Metrorail services are normal.
