A gas cylinder leak triggered an explosion in the Bagbari area of Kashimpur, Gazipur, leaving four people with burn injuries.
The victims were rushed to the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in Dhaka for treatment, reports bdnews24.com.
Resident Doctor Shaon Bin Rahman of the Emergency Department said that the incident occurred around 5:15am on Sunday and the victims arrived at the hospital around 8:30am.
Among the victims, Md Tanzil suffered burns on 20 percent of his body, Rabbi on 23 percent, Shamsul on 5 percent, and Razia Ahmed 4 percent.
“Tanzil and Rabbi had burns on more of their bodies,” Shaon said. “They have been admitted to the HDU as they are in danger. The other two victims have been released after they were administered first aid.”
