A distinguished delegation of the International Ethnosport Bangladesh Association (IEBA), headed by its founder and general secretary, Md Al Mamun, paid a courtesy call on Argentine Ambassador to Bangladesh Marcelo Cesa on Wednesday morning.
The visit, organized at the invitation of the Argentinian Ambassador, focused on fostering cultural collaboration and promoting ethnosports as a bridge between Bangladesh and Argentina.
The delegation included IEBA’s Joint Secretary Ruhul Amin Rasel and Executive Member Syed Yusuf.
Their participation underscored IEBA's commitment to expanding ethnosport reach and building international relationships, said a media release.
During the meeting, Al Mamun presented an overview of IEBA’s current initiatives, including national and international ethnosport competitions aimed at promoting ethnosports and games in Bangladesh.
He highlighted the association's dedication to fostering cross-cultural sports events and enhancing Bangladesh’s presence on the international ethnosport stage.
Ruhul Amin Rusel extended a formal invitation to the Ambassador, inviting him to serve as the guest of honour at an upcoming ethnosport event in Bangladesh, a move expected to further deepen cultural ties between the two nations.
The Argentine Ambassador expressed deep appreciation for IEBA’s work, recognizing it as a positive stride toward forging stronger cultural and sports diplomacy.
He conveyed optimism that this engagement would lead to richer cultural exchange and a strengthened bond between Bangladesh and Argentina, reflecting a shared commitment to enhancing global ethnosport and cultural understanding.
